Metal Fabrication
At Riddley, our team of experts have the experience and know-how to tackle your metal fabrication project. We continue to acquire new machinery that allows us to keep our metal fabrication in-house and expand our evolving capabilities. Our metal division consists of five Fiber Optic lasers (for both sheet and tube cutting), a CNC tube bending machine, six Press Brakes, five Robotic Welding cells plus five manual welding cells for our expert MIG and TIG welding team. A powder coating line is in development as our next in-house offering.
Metal Fabrication
Tube laser
At Riddley, we know the importance of staying up-to-date with our manufacturing process, which is why we prioritize the utilization of the latest technologies to streamline and continuously improve our production process. When it comes to custom cutting metal, nothing does it faster or more accurately and efficiently than fiber lasers. Our 4kW tube laser allows us to process tubes up to 6” in diameter with a 0.4” wall thickness with ease and create cutouts and features unattainable with more traditional fabrication techniques, saving time and money with downstream assembly and weld processes. We can process steel, stainless steel, copper, aluminum, and brass parts up to 6’ wide and 20’ long at speeds up to 7.5’ per second, producing both quality and quantity.
Sheet Metal Laser
Our 6kW sheet metal laser allows us to cut sheet metal from 22ga up to ¼” and even ½” in some cases, quickly and effectively while producing features as small as 1/32″. This allows us to tackle both heavy-duty and delicate jobs with ease in parts up to 10′ long. Additionally, our auto loading system allows us to keep production going, even when we turn the lights out for the day. All of this means faster turn-around, and better quality parts for your custom fabrication job.
Forming
When it comes to metal forming, creating consistent, accurate angles is critical to ensuring that performance realities meet design expectations. Riddley has invested in press brakes with laser guided forming features that let our operators make the correct bend the first time, and every time. We offer high output forming with our 80t, 5’ bed length press brakes with stroke speeds allowing us to form at a rate of 1 inch per second, and a 150t, 10’ bed length for more heavy-duty parts.
Welding
Riddley’s staff of experienced welders can weld sheet metal and tubing up to ¼” thicknesses, and can work in steel, stainless steel, and galvanized steel. For high volume projects, Riddley’s 6-axis robotic welding cell can weld steel parts up to 55” wide and 90” tall with repeatable, consistent weld quality.
